Indian Civilization

About Civilization
Indian civilization refers to the diverse and long history of the Indian subcontinent, encompassing various periods, empires, and cultural influences. It is one of the oldest continuous civilizations in the world, with roots stretching back thousands of years. Key aspects include the Indus Valley Civilization, the Vedic period, the Mauryan and Gupta Empires, and the emergence of major religions like Buddhism and Jainism.
The knowledge of Indian civilization has come from the two main cities “Mohenjo-Daro” and “Harappa”. These cities were carefully designed where they had broad straight roads with brick houses on both sides. Both the cities had elaborate sewer and drainage systems. The nuclear dates of the civilization appear to be 2500-1700 BCE.
